MoneySmart Account 

  1. You can sign-up for a MoneySmart account through https://www.moneysmart.sg/identity/signup
  2. You are responsible for keeping your account details and password confidential.
  3. MoneySmart reserves the right to terminate or delete any accounts at our sole discretion at any time and for any reason
  4. MoneySmart is entitled to act on all instructions received by anyone using your account and are not responsible for any transactions made without your authorisation.
  5. You agree to the use of your personal data, including the transferral of data, for the purposes of facilitating a transaction and providing sales support for a transaction.
  6. This Agreement shall remain effective until we or you terminate it.
  • Termination by MoneySmart: In our sole and absolute discretion, we may with immediate effect upon giving you notice, terminate your use of the Platform and/or Services and/or disable your Username and Password. We may bar access to the Platform and/or Services (or any part thereof) for any reason whatsoever, including a breach of any of these Terms & Conditions or where if we believe that you have violated or acted inconsistently with any terms or conditions set out herein, or if in our opinion or the opinion of any regulatory authority, it is not suitable to continue providing the services relating to the Platform.

SmartPoints

  1. Customers can redeem their SmartPoints on products listed on the Rewards Store (http://www.moneysmart.sg/dashboard/redemption-store) or withdraw SmartPoints as Cash through their SmartPoints Wallet (http://www.moneysmart.sg/dashboard/wallet)
  2. The SmartPoints Wallet is where customers can manage and view their SmartPoints balance and history.
  3. The SmartPoints Wallet shows customers’ pending earnings and lifetime earnings.
  • Pending earnings are SmartPoints that are waiting on partners’ approval.
  • Lifetime earnings refer to SmartPoints a customer has earned since account creation.
  1. SmartPoints will be valid for sixty (60) days from the date of successful earning. Any unused SmartPoints will automatically expire and be deducted from customers' available SmartPoints balance.
  2. Expired SmartPoints will no longer be available for redemption on the Rewards Store or cash withdrawal
  3. The company reserves the right to change the validity period of SmartPoints at any time without prior notice.
  4. SmartPoints are non-transferable and can be redeemable only by the Eligible Customers to whom the SmartPoints were awarded to. 
  5. For the avoidance of doubt, SmartPoints can only be redeemed at the Rewards Store, and not by any other party. SmartPoints used, converted and/or redeemed under these Terms & Conditions shall not be refundable in any circumstances (unless otherwise permitted by MoneySmart at its sole and absolute discretion).

Earn SmartPoints

  1. Customers can earn SmartPoints by:
  • Completing their financial profile.
  • Signing up for MoneySmart campaigns.

    i. Customers may refer to the campaign-specific Terms & Conditions for more information on eligibility and criteria.

    ii. The number of SmartPoints a customer earns will vary from campaign to campaign.

    iii. The timelines for SmartPoints to be transferred to a customer’s SmartPoints Wallet will vary from campaign to campaign. Refer to specific campaign Terms & Conditions for more information.

Cash Withdrawal of SmartPoints

  1. Customers need to have a minimum of 170 SmartPoints to withdraw their SmartPoints as Cash.
  2. When requesting to withdraw SmartPoints as Cash, customers must ensure that:
  • The correct PayNow mobile number registered under the name is provided.
  • MoneySmart will not be able to re-issue or refund the cash already transferred to the PayNow account should the phone number provided be in error
  1. MoneySmart will disburse the cash into customers’ PayNow accounts within 10 to 15 working days from receiving the withdrawal request.  
  2. Customers can check the status of their points withdrawal under ‘Points History’ in their SmartPoints Wallet (http://www.moneysmart.sg/dashboard/wallet)
  3. MoneySmart reserves the right to deny cash fulfilment to customers who have breached MoneySmart’s Terms & Conditions.
  4. MoneySmart reserves the right, at any time, to modify or alter the conversion rates from SmartPoints to Cash. 

SmartPoints Redemption (Rewards Store)

  1. Customers with a valid MoneySmart account can make a redemption on the Rewards Store (http://www.moneysmart.sg/dashboard/redemption-store) by:
  • Using SmartPoints to fully offset the value of a product

    Scenario 1
    : John signed up for a MoneySmart Account, completed his Profiling Quiz and received 50 SmartPoints. John also signed up for a MoneySmart Credit Cards Campaign and has met the Eligibility Criteria, receiving another 5,100 SmartPoints. 

    John goes onto the Rewards Store and wishes to redeem a product that is listed at 5,000 SmartPoints. John can use SmartPoints to fully offset the value of the product. 
  • Using SmartPoints to partially offset the value of a product and top-up the remaining cash value with a valid Credit Card. 

    Scenario 2
    : Bob signed up for a MoneySmart Account, completed his Profiling Quiz and received 50 SmartPoints. 

    Bob goes onto the Rewards Store and wishes to redeem a Product that is listed at 5,000 SmartPoints. However, as Bob does not have sufficient SmartPoints in his SmartPoints Wallet, Bob can use his SmartPoints to partially offset the value of the product and top-up the remaining cash value with a valid Credit Card.
  • Using a valid Credit Card to purchase a product

    Scenario 3:
    Andy goes onto the Rewards Store and wishes to redeem a product that is listed at 5,000 SmartPoints. However, Andy has 0 points in his SmartPoints Wallet. Andy can purchase the product at listed price using a valid Credit Card. 
  1. Customers are not allowed to do partial redemption of their Smartpoints to offset the value of a product.
  • If a customer has 4,000 SmartPoints, and the product is valued at 3,500 SmartPoints, the customer must utilise all 3,500 SmartPoints for the redemption. The customer cannot choose to redeem only 2,000 SmartPoints and top-up the remaining cash value with a valid Credit Card. 
  • If a customer has 3,500 SmartPoints, and the product is valued at 4,000 SmartPoints, the customer must redeem all 3,500 SmartPoints and top up the remaining cash value with a valid Credit Card.
  1. MoneySmart reserves the right, at any time, to modify or alter the SmartPoints required to redeem products on the Rewards Store.
  2. MoneySmart reserves the right to limit the redemption of each product listed on the Rewards Store.
  3. MoneySmart reserves the right, at any time, to modify, alter, or update these Terms & Conditions. Your continued usage of the site following such notifications shall constitute your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to any such changes you are to cease using the site immediately.
  4. Merchant specific Terms & Conditions will apply to all e-vouchers in the Rewards Store. These merchants reserve the right, at any time, to modify, alter, or update these Terms & Conditions.
  5. As a condition of your use of the Rewards Store (http://www.moneysmart.sg/dashboard/redemption-store), you warrant that (i) you possess the legal authority to create a binding legal obligation (ii) you will use this site in accordance with these Terms & Conditions; (iii) you will only use this site for legitimate purposes; (iv) all information provided by you on this site is true, accurate, current and complete. We reserve the right at our sole discretion to deny access to anyone to this site and the services MoneySmart offers, at any time and without notice, including, but not limited to, for violation of these Terms & Conditions.

Shipping and Delivery

  1. Customers shall be solely responsible to share the correct details with MoneySmart. MoneySmart shall not be responsible for any defaults/failure in item delivery due to incorrect information shared by customers.
  2. The process of item delivery will be as follows:
  • After an order is placed, MoneySmart will send an email with the expected delivery date.
  • In normal circumstances, orders should take 14 to 21 working days to reach you. If you have not received your order within this specified time, please contact us here.
  • Bulky items may take additional time to be delivered as delivery is not managed by MoneySmart.

    i. By placing an order on the Rewards Store, customers consent to MoneySmart sharing their shipping details to third party vendors for the purpose of identification and order fulfillment.

    ii. Customers are responsible for ensuring that the details including (but not limited to) the mailing address provided is accurate.
  1. MoneySmart is not liable for any damage or loss of item caused by our delivery partners.

Refunds and Exchange Policy

  1. Items redeemed or purchased via the Rewards Store are covered under the respective merchants’ exchange and warranty policies. 
  2. In the event of receiving a defective product, please contact the respective merchant to initiate the exchange process.

Cancellation Policy

  1. Once an order is placed on the Rewards Store, no cancellation is allowed.
  2. MoneySmart reserves the right to cancel and refund any orders made on the Rewards Store that are deemed to be fraudulent.

Fraud Prevention

  1. MoneySmart is committed to maintaining the highest levels of security and protection against fraud. As a MoneySmart member, it is your responsibility to ensure your account is being used honestly and ethically.
  2. Please read the Terms & Conditions before making any redemptions or purchases on the Rewards Store. By making a redemption or purchase, you agree to MoneySmart's Terms & Conditions.
  3. If you have reason to believe that a fraudulent transaction has occurred in your account, kindly contact us.

Governing Law and Disputes

  1. These Terms & Conditions are governed exclusively by the laws of Singapore, notwithstanding any principles of conflicts of law.

Force Majeure

  1. MoneySmart shall have no liability for delays or failure in performance caused by any event beyond our control.
